The Braille Book

Overview

Why can't type be felt as well as seen?

This was a question that came to me one day and I decided to further investigate the study of braille and those who have dealt with visual impairment throughout their lifetime.
This artist book was created with the intention to bring a basic foundation on how to read braille to the reader and try to persuade those to not only be immersed in the material of the book but also peak their curiosity into furthering their knowledge of braille.

I created the braille out of small pearls and then used Kraft cardstock material for the cover of the book so the emphasis can be placed on the braille. The phrases in the book are outlined so the reader could see where braille falls on the outline of the letters.
